Today, we celebrate our LightFair blog turning two. Albeit a small milestone, it is one we are proud of and grateful for. Thank you for your support, and for celebrating with us.
When we launched the blog in 2021, our goal was to create a platform for the lighting community to express and experience different viewpoints, share project stories, discuss case studies, learn about other leaders and industry peers doing inspiring work, explore topics that impacted the lighting community be it trends and innovations, advocacy, diversity, equity and inclusion, the environment, sustainability or behind-the-scenes glimpses of an upcoming LightFair in the making. We wanted the blog to educate, inspire, inform and bring ideas and people together, much like LightFair does.
Today, with nearly a 100 unique blog posts, 35+ contributors from the lighting industry and several ongoing content collaborations with leading design and architectural firms and associations, our blog continues to grow in every respect and inspire the lighting community. It serves as a source of information and insights about the latest trends, innovations, and developments in the lighting industry. In curating stories for the blog, we collaborate with industry experts and strive to provide content that is well-researched and well-written, leaving you with valuable information and insights you can use to stay ahead of the curve in your profession.
The lighting community’s willingness to share knowledge generously and help other professionals learn and grow has been reinforced along this journey.
Just as LightFair would not have made it to its 34th year as North America’s largest and premier architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference without your support and participation, the LightFair blog relies on your participation, viewership and a healthy exchange of ideas throughout the year to become and remain a relevant source of thought-provoking inspiration and discussion.

A Bolder Brighter Future: LightFair Goes Biennial
LightFair’s announcement about going biennial was received with much enthusiasm and by all accounts and polls, reflected a move the lighting community, including manufacturers and longtime attendees had been asking for. The shift to an alternate-year schedule takes effect starting in 2023. The next LightFair will take place in 2025. This announcement was among our most viewed and shared stories of the year.
